Alex Judd

Alex studied violin, piano and composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before going on to read music at Goldsmiths College, University of London and specialising in composition. Alex composes extensively for dance and drama projects and is an associate artist with Theatre:re, most recently having composed for the company’s productions of ‘The Gambler’ and ‘The Little Soldiers’; the latter receiving an ‘Off West End’ Best Sound Design award nomination. Other recent composition credits include music for pieces performed at the European Cultural Congress, Resolution! Festival at The Place and commissions from Floodwater Films and author/speaker Mindy Gibbins-Klein.


Alex is also an experienced session musician and currently performs with pop artist ‘Bright Light Bright Light’ (UK / European tour supporting Elton John) and award-winning improvised comedy group ‘Austentatious’ (UK tour).
